Pterolycus is a heavy metal inspired Double Bass quartet comissioned by Claus Freudenstein and written specially for The Bassmonsters (Germany).
It was premiered in 2020 at The Bavarian Basscamp by the Bassmonsters.
This is a 9minute work, technically demanding on all four voices, high energy fast piece with a slow middle part. It was inspired in Iron Maiden style.
